Compassionate, Expert Pediatric OT Rooted in Both Experience and Compassion
As a Pediatric Occupational Therapist with over 30 years of experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with more than 1,000 children and their families, supporting them through a wide range of neurological, sensory, feeding, and developmental challenges. My work experiences have taken me through some of the top hospitals in Houston, including a world-renowned pediatric hospital. I have worked in many areas such as NICU's, ICU's, Rehab and Outpatient Therapy. But what truly defines my work is the heart I bring into every interaction.
Affectionately called ““Mama Lisa” by colleagues, I'm known not only for clinical excellence but for a deeply compassionate, hands-on approach that honors each child’s unique story.
For much of my parenting life, I’ve also worn the hat of a mother and child advocate. The intersection of being both a therapist and a parent has shaped me profoundly. It’s a space many medical professionals quietly struggle with: how much of their training to bring into daily family life. For me, my background as an OT has been both a cornerstone and a source of strength—it has helped me not only support others but also evolve, cope, survive, and thrive as an OT and mom.
I believe in a holistic OT approach that sees beyond the diagnosis. Every evaluation and treatment session are grounded in deep listening, clinical insight, and therapeutic touch. My eyes and hands carry decades of experience—refined skills that aim for the best possible outcomes while respecting the pace and needs of each child and family.
Whether you’re beginning this journey or have been on it for years, I’m here to walk alongside you with compassion, therapeutic strategies, and unwavering support.
And I've been there as a parent too. I get it.
I'm certified in these areas:
Neuro-developmental treatment (NDT) Adult & baby trained
Certified Lactation Consultant (CLC)
Neonatal Touch Massage Certification (NTMC)
Integrated Listening System (Safe & Sound, and Focus System)
Stay Brave!

At The Rooted Child we honor caregivers too. Afterall, you are your child's best advocate!
In June 2025, I scheduled my first evaluation for The Rooted Child.
And, to honor this sweet mom, I brought a bouquet of flowers!
Stay Brave!
